Antonio Afable, Jr

Completed a degree in Fine Arts. He has exhibited his work in Italy and Philippines. He was active in the Art Association of the Philippines, Pintor Kulapol in his hometown of Tuy, Batangas, Manila Artists Group, and Degli Artisti in Rome, Italy. Jun won the Second Prize in an “On-the-Spot Painting Contest” held at the City Gallery in Manila in 1979. In 1985, he was awarded a Bronze medal at the 7th Concorzo Di Pittura Estemporanea in Rome.

Jun migrated to Canada in 2000. He continued his artistic journey through participation in juried shows in Toronto and is a member of the Philippine Artists Group of Canada (PAG). He won First Prize in a plein air contest organized by the Ontario Plein Air Society (OPAS) in July 2012. In September 2012 he won Third Prize in another OPAS plein air contest. In 2019 he won First Prize at the Belleville Plein Air Competition. Won Best in Architecture at the King City Ontario Plein Air Competition in October 2022. Finalist at the 2022 Mc Michael Canadian Art Collection Plein Air Competition and was exhibited at the Gallery.
